Kelley Indianapolis and IUPUI Top 100 student: Jacob Brown

In the days leading up to the IUPUI Top 100 Outstanding Students Recognition Dinner, we will be featuring our Kelley students who have been named a Top 100 for 2016.

What has been your favorite experience at Kelley?

I would have to say going to Spain with fellow Kelley students and Professor Kim Donahue in my Business of Sports class and last spring break. It was great to experience the culture in another country and study the business of sports in Europe as well as the United States.

What has been your favorite class and why?

Well obviously the Spain class! I also really enjoyed BS-L203, Business Law. I am potentially going to law school so it was great to see how the law affects business.

If you had to pick one professor that has impacted you the most at Kelley, who would it be?

Professor Liz Malatestinic and Judy Wright...I can't pick just one! Professor Malatestinic because of all the work she puts into the HR program and to all of the HR students. Professor Judy Wright because she has always supported me and my ambition to go to law school. She has helped me more than anyone will ever know. Both have impacted my college career in huge ways.

Where do you see yourself after you graduate?

I'll either be a student at the Robert H. McKinney School of Law or hopefully continuing to work at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

Favorite activity/extracurricular activity that you've been involved in at IUPUI and Kelley?

Delta Sigma Pi. It is great to not only have friends at Kelley, but also brothers.

What is your Kelley Moment?

My Kelley moment would be getting to work with the best group of students in the world through my I-Core class. My I-Core team became so close that we worked together not only in I-Core but J402, W494 and J411. My Kelley experience simply would not have been the same without them.
